All things considered, I amn't going to be able to go to NYC until Sept. Well, maybe mid-late August. This sucks. I was supposed to be there already. On the plus side, my clearing the year means I have the time. On the other hand...well...I hate deadlines. Most especially the whooshing noise they make as they fly past.
Anyway, lets look on the good side. I got my new internet connection working today, along with the wireless access point, which had been giving me a headache and which was like *this* far from becoming a WIRED wireless access point. But hey, it's working now, so go me.
Actually...geeze if that's the best I can come up with this week...I am having such a sucky week. And this country isn't supposed to get this damned hot.
I have a new icon, and I've taken this quiz, which so many people are taking. Mainly what amuses me is that my little sister doesn't even appear in my evil plans...
Speaking of which, I read back through her archive last night when i couldn't sleep. For more details of this ongoing saga, refer to her LJ

We have a wired wireless network here, maybe you can look into that, September would be good for you to come and visit, and as for time, well, we would have weekends, plus i get off at 5:30... We'll talk about feasibility and logistics later, but know that you're still welcome.

1) I quite like wired wireless networks - they're far more reliable, and I'd love to lay one, but my mother strongly objects to wires anywhere in out house. But god I would love to lay CAT-5 cables to my sister and my rooms. Imagine the multiplayer possiblities.
2) Fantastic. Then I'm going to go ahead and book tickets for the very end of August or early Sept. I'm planning on staying for between 2 and 3 weeks. What do you think yourself?

What database? And whats the project?
And that always happens, I had to have a database up and running by last Friday for a soft launch and I did, but do you think the designers had the front end webcode ready? *grin*

It's MySQL and PHP, and I'm practically certain that I've just made a stupid clerical error somewhere. I've only just learned MySQL, specifically for this project, and I'm sure I've beggered it up somewhere.
Oh, and guess who's also developing the webcode? I'm the entire IT department for the Chambers. Which means a great job title and a fantastic C.V, along with the variety of tasks to keep me interested, but also means a fuck-off workload.

And I managed to hand off webcode to different folks here so that I don't have to worry about it but get to poke holes in it where they missed bits.

Apparently.
At least, she said that was close enough.
Okay, do you have some form of instant messageing that WON'T involve a chain of comments covering half a page? If you don't want me to have it, that's fine. If you don't want to post it, you have my e-mail from my profile.

So you did find the RP, then?
I'm almost afraid to ask, but did you at least avoid the entries with warnings on them?
July 14 2005, 13:05:56 UTC 6 years ago
And I don't know what RP stands for. Although I *did* find lots of comments on me. And I didn't see any conspicuous warnings either. Except there was one thingy labeled "Don't click on this" or something, which I consider suspicious, and probably gross.

Yeah, well. It's a place to rant, y'know? Like after the wasps' nest thing.

Wow. I've just installed MSN messenger.
I'd sworn I was never going to use that bloody thing. Oh, and I hate Microsoft too.
I feel so dirty...

Will you post your id in your user info? Not that I'm on any messenger very often and on MSN even less than yahoo, but still, if I happen to bump into you...

I don't think I like being told to wash before meeting someone. I am extremely well bathed, and my personal hygiene is exemplary.
